Dame Zaha Hadid who tragically died in 2016

It’s important within the creative industry to remember those talented designers who are no longer with us. As the 31st March approaches we mark 3 years since the tragic passing of Dame Zaha Hadid who died at a tender age of 65.

Dame Zaha was one of the world’s greatest architects of our time and an inspiration to the architectural community.

Dame Zaha’s most famous work was the London’s Olympic Aquatic Centre (images below). She also worked on a number of other inspiring buildings based around the world.

This Iraq-born architect was the only woman to receive the Pritzker Prize and the RIBA Gold Medal in 2016. Awarded by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the medal is presented annually in recognition of a significant contribution to the profession. Hadid is the first women without a male partner to win the award in its 167-year history.
